IDENTIC AB has delivered a turnkey refuelling system to Hutchinson Ports for the new container terminal being built in Norvik. The system includes storage tanks, pumps, automatic registration and IDENTIC’s Spill-free Vehicle Refilling (SVR) system. The complete solution delivers Diesel and AdBlue at 3 locations to the specialist vehicles that will operate within the ports area. IDENTIC has equipped the first batch of 15-metre-high container straddle carriers with customised SVR systems which deliver Diesel and AdBlue to the vehicles generators located at the very top of the vehicles. By selecting IDENTIC’s SVR systems, Hutchinson will ensure the facility, which is close to the water, will maintain the highest levels of safety and environmental protection.

Hutchison Ports, the world’s leading container terminal operator, has an agreement with Ports of Stockholm to operate the new container terminal in Norvik. The new port, which is near Nynäshamn 60km south of the Swedish capital, will boast 450 metres of quay with a depth of 16.5 metres alongside when it opens later in 2020. Hutchison will add to the fleet of straddle carriers during the second phase of the planned expansion over the coming years. Fuel usage will be tracked by Hutchison staff who will use the IDENTIC ID Link software to monitor all the vehicles that use the system in Norvik.
